# Roles

**Internal user roles** to manage organizations, external users and distribute data by linking it to the organization.

| **Role** | **Description** |
| --- | --- |
| Extranet Manager | Manage organizations and related users. |
| Extranet Distributer | Distribute information by linking it to organizations . (Requires separate roles to information to distribute.) |

**External user roles** to access information linked to the organization and create new objects.

| **Role** | **Description** |
| --- | --- |
| Reader | View almost all information linked to the users organization. |
| Editor | View almost all information linked to the users organization. Create items, drawings and documents and promote them up to status *Design ready.* (*Ready* for general documents). Create and *Submit* ECRs. View and edit Assigned ECOs. Promote them to *Completed*. |

	
	The default access rights of the existing roles can be modified and new roles can be added.
