Items, drawings and product documents all have the same lifecycle.

Lifecycle state	Description
In design	Design work is in progress.
Design review	Item has been submitted for design review.
Design ready	Item design is ready and waiting for approval.
In production	Item is in production. Changes require a new revision.
Obsolete	Item is obsolete and cannot be used.

By default, drawings and product document states are automatically driven by the item they are linked to.
