Lifecycle rules are enforced by Sovelia. For example, when an item is promoted to In Production state all child items, drawings and product documents must be at the same state.
The following rules are used to check the structure of the item when the parent is edited or its status is changed:
Allowed status for child object
IND | DRW | DNR | INP | OBS | ||
Status | IND | |||||
DRW | ||||||
DNR | ||||||
INP |
The following rules are used to check parent items when a child status is changed:
Allowed status for parent object
IND | DRW | DNR | INP | OBS | ||
Status | IND | |||||
DRW | ||||||
DNR | ||||||
INP | ||||||
OBS |
* Obsolete checks are switched off for flexibility. This (and all other rules) are configurable. If the check is off, the next modification of the parent item will require the obsoleted child to be removed.
