Projects, phases and tasks have the same lifecycle with one exception; Phases and tasks have an Assigned state to help manage the process.

Lifecycle state	Description
Created	The project structure has been created but is not in process yet.
Assigned	The phase or tasks has been assigned to a user. (Phases and tasks only.)
In Progress	The work is in progress.
Completed	The project, phase or task is complete.
Archived	The Project is archived. This state can also be used to mark a phase or task unnecessary.
