Overview

The Engineering change order (ECO) is used to manage the engineering process from design to production release, maintenance and after sales.

The ECO can be created based on an ECR if that Engineering change request process is used.

The new or changed information is linked to the ECO.

The predefined process is straight forward. It can further developed, for example, by adding attributes and even sub-processes to manage more detailed approvals or implementations. Also other processes can be configured to cover various requirements.
