Sovelia/Naviate Plant Installation

Sovelia Plant, formerly Naviate Plant is downloaded from here.

Download the version which corresponds to your version of Plant 3D. The 20XX.1 versions are the base release for each year, only containing legacy functions from the previous year. The 20XX.2 versions or higher have been updated with new functionality from later releases.

Take note that Sovelia Plant uses licenses which are managed from this site. Create an account to activate your license.

Uninstall or Upgrade to a new version

When upgrading your version of Sovelia/Naviate Plant it is important to uninstall any old version of the program with the same year as the one you are upgrading to. For Sovelia Plant version  2024.2 this means that the 2024.1 version needs to be fully uninstalled to prevent conflicts. The exception to this rule is Sovelia Plant 2025.1.2 and future releases. In these versions the installation program detects and cleans up earlier versions automatically.

Sovelia Plant

To perform a full uninstall of Sovelia Plant, make sure to follow these steps:

1. Always back up any critical projects before making changes to your installation

2. Uninstall the program as you would normally in Windows via the Control Panel → Programs → Uninstall a program.

3. Perform a cache clean-up by navigating to C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 20XX\PLNT3D\PnPLocalDataCachePurger.exe and running the executable (this step is not always necessary, but is part of best practice).

4. Remove the following folders if present:

   C:\Users\Public\Documents\Symetri\Sovelia\Plant 20XX

   C:\Program Files\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\Symetri SoveliaP20XX.bundle

   C:\AutoCAD Plant 3D XXXX Content\CPak Common\CustomScripts

   %localappdata%\Symetri\Cache

   %localappdata%\Symetri\SSO

Furthermore, x, y and z need to be done (upgrading).

Naviate Plant (before 2024)

To perform a full uninstall of Naviate Plant, make sure to follow these steps:

1. Always back up any critical projects before making changes to your installation

2. Uninstall the program as you would normally in Windows via the Control Panel → Programs → Uninstall a program.

3. Perform a cache clean-up by navigating to C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 20XX\PLNT3D\PnPLocalDataCachePurger.exe and running the executable (this step is not always necessary, but is part of best practice).

To upgrade from Naviate Plant to Sovelia, the following steps need to be taken.

Installing Sovelia Plant and starting a Trial

A Sovelia Plant trial is active for 30 days. To activate a trial, navigate to Sovelia.com and select Sovelia products in the ribbon. Next click Sovelia Plant.

In addition to the introduction video and other useful information, the Sovelia Plant home page gives two options to choose between:

• Download a trial

• Book a demo

For the purposes of this article, select “download a trial”. If your firm is interested in a demo for Sovelia plant do not hesitate to contact Symetri by clicking on “book a demo”. Downloading a trial is easy. Simply fill out the form with the required information and click submit. This triggers a confirmation email to be sent to the email address entered in the form. From here, follow the instructions in the email and use the installation wizard to get set up with the application.
